Flüssige und feste Chemikalien oder Chemikaliengemische werden in Lagern, Laboratorien und beim Transport in Gefäßen aus Glas oder Kunststoff aufbewahrt, deren Schraubverschlüsse dicht verschlossen sind, so daß keine Dämpfe nach außen dringen können.Liquid and solid chemicals or chemical mixtures are stored in warehouses, laboratories and during transport in containers made of glass or plastic with tightly closed screw caps so that no vapors can escape.

Es entsteht Innendruck, der so hoch werden kann, daß es zum Bersten des Gefäßes kommt. Hierdurch können in Laboratorien Menschen direkt zu Schaden kommen. Außerdem können danebenstehende andere Chemikaliengefäße durch die Splitterwirkung zerbersten, so daß eine unkontrollierbare Gefährdung durch Austreten verschiedener giftiger bzw. reaktiver Stoffe eintritt. Gegenstand der Neuerung sind somit Schraubverschlüsse aus Kunststoff, die dadurch gekennzeichnet sind, daß mindestens eine dünnere Schwachstelle aus plastischem Material eingebaut ist, die sich bei Entstehen von Überdruck nach außen aufbläht, so daß das Entstehen von Überdruck signalisiert wird und von außen erkennbar ist, ohne daß Dampf oder Gase austreten. Die Gefäße können somit in einem frühen Stadium der Gefährdung erkannt und ihr Inhalt sachgerecht entsorgt werden.
