Description
KAISERLICHESIMPERIAL
PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.
As is well known, the various microorganisms play a role in the productivity of the arable land plays a significant role, and has been found to be more appropriate to the action Antiseptics are of the greatest importance for increasing the harvest (E. J. Russell and Walter Buddin, 1913, Journal of the Soc. of Chem. Ind. p. 1136 ff.). In other words it is established that the disease of the arable soils, the so-called soil fatigue, its cause in the living conditions of the various soil bacteria, and that through the influence of certain bacterial toxins these living conditions can be regulated appropriately. These findings were of no practical importance until today. because the poisons in question per se too expensive and difficult to handle and thus a general use for Horticulture and agriculture excluded.
Es wurde nun gefunden, daß man derartigeIt has now been found that such
Poisons generally known to have an effect, such as toluene, carbon tetrachloride, tar oils, phenols, Carbon disulfide, etc., which only in extremely strong dilution and finest Distribution can be incorporated into the soil in a very simple and cheap way with Water can emulsify when used in large quantities almost free of charge Available sulfite pulp waste liquor in the thickened state thoroughly stirred, with the bactericidal and fertilizing properties of this waste material's effect on the Bacterial flora and the soil increased as best as possible. By means of this procedure, as a result of great cheapness and ease of use for everyone, even those with very simple ones Arable land to be cultivated is brought back to a satisfactory activity, what was previously not possible. According to the patent specification 198788, class 45, plant pests, which have attacked the living plant can be rendered harmless by treating the plants in question with the Waste eyes of the sulfite cellulose production, to which you can still add copper salts, splashed. So there is a differently composed means and an essentially different end than used in the present proceedings. Here the uncultivated arable land should be used can be brought to a better load-bearing capacity by, as already explained in detail above, treated according to a previously unknown, easily executable procedure while there insecticidal substances which by no means also have a bactericidal effect for control of the organisms damaging the plants are to be used, whereby it is irrelevant that Sufitzellstoffablauge in both Funds is included.
The emulsion compositions obtained by means of the sulphite waste liquor show an extraordinary quality intimate distribution of the substance to be emulsified can be produced to a very high quality and at the same time offer the possibility of using formaldehyde, salts of various kinds,
Des weiteren kommt als bedeutsamer Effekt dieser Methode dieTanning agents and other bodies can be processed without the disintegration of the Emulsion mixture occurs. This important property allows a great deal of variation in the composition of the means under consideration here and the simultaneous Use of nutrient salts in addition to the disinfecting substances. Furthermore comes as a significant effect of this method the
Zeitg. 26, S. 229, 1902).ίο Property of the pulp waste liquor as a fertilizer valid, the value of which has been determined several times (patent specification 128213, class 16; Chem. Zeitg. 26, p. 229, 1902).
As long as they are in themselves soluble in water Substances as additives, such as salts, formaldehyde, certain phenols, etc., can act those with the thickened sulphite waste liquor easily mixed with water for use come or be added to the aqueous emulsion solutions.
Another advantage of the sulphite pulp liquor for the purpose in question here is in the quality of the same, as an irritant to those valuable for the soil To work microorganisms, which are stimulated to more intensive life activity. If necessary, suitable bacteria or fungal cultures can also be present at the same time aqueous solutions distributed to infect the relevant arable soil as well as fertilizers for pests of various kinds are used. For example, you can use high quality carbon disulfide emulsions with the addition of nicotine or copper lime broth or sulfur to use in the most advantageous way in the vineyard treatment and Usually only very dilute solutions are required, which are already very cheap by themselves Sulphite waste liquors are so low in cost that they are also less profitable Cultures can be used without concern.
