Abstract

The lightweight thermal insulation panel is made from a flat sealed housing inside which is stacked an array of concertina shaped metal foils (2). The top and bottom faces of the panel are braced by an array of thermal insulation studs (5). The panel is made of low cost plastics and the foil of aliminium or similar low cost material. The foil provides an effective heat shield while the vacuum provides the insulation. The assembled panel is pumped out and sealed.

Description

The invention relates to thermal insulation that is much less Have heat transfer than the known insulating layer, i.e. with the same thickness the insulating layer, the heat losses in the insulating layer according to the invention reduce to a fraction of the heat losses of the known insulating layers.

The lower heat passage of the thermal insulation according to the invention is based on the fact that in an airtight flat space there is a vacuum in which one another a larger number of thin, low heat radiation-absorbing layers 2 (z, B @ These layers 2 are held together by heat-insulating spacers 3 prevented from touching each other. The spacers 3 can e.g. be made of accordion-like made of folded paper or studded plastic film.

The vacuum space can be created in different ways: e.g. by a closed plastic housing according to FIG with a metal cover according to Figure 2 or by a plastic frame 7 with two metal covers 6 according to Fig. 3. It is important that the vacuum space, if necessary by seals 8, remains airtight. The vacuum space may be provided with a valve so that at any time to be able to restore the vacuum, for example in the case of large-scale thermal insulation From 0.1 m² the force that the air pressure exerts on the vacuum space is so great that the wall thicknesses required to absorb the force would be economically thick This can be counteracted by using the two large surfaces by many supports 5 intercepts.

Anwenden kann man diese Wärmeisolierung z.B. bei Isolierungen von Wänden, Dächern, Kühlhäusern, Kühlwagen, Kühlschränken usw. This thermal insulation can be used, for example, for the insulation of Walls, roofs, cold stores, refrigerated trucks, refrigerators, etc.
