Description
The invention relates to a directional line according to the preamble of the patent claim.
It is well known that directions are non-reciprocal Transmission arrangements in which using before z. B. arranged in waveguides ferrites electromagnetic energy in the microwave range in one direction with as little attenuation and loss as possible is transmitted, while it is to be transmitted in the opposite direction with a high attenuation. One special arrangement of such a directional line is, for example, in the magazine "Fernmeldepraxis" Vol. 48, 1971, page 1066. According to the aforementioned Reference is made here to directional guidelines, as they are, for example, in the journal »Proceedings IRE "44, 1956, page 555 or from the journal" IRE Transactions MTT5 "1957, especially pages 195 and 196 have become known, realized in the way that an absorbent layer arranged on the ferrite is replaced by an electrically conductive layer will. As already stated in the two aforementioned references, these are type of directional lines also known as so-called »field displacement isolators«.
Furthermore, from DE-AS 22 25 576 a directional line of the type mentioned in the introduction is known in to which the ferrite is assigned an electrically conductive layer, which extends from a waveguide broad side wall to extends to the opposite waveguide broad side wall. After that it is also possible to make the ferrite plate like this to arrange that it fills only part of the waveguide height between the two broad side walls.
Finally, it is known from DE-AS 10 81 087 to use a single ferrite plate with a spacing on both sides the waveguide broad side walls and to be arranged symmetrically to a center plane of the broad side walls. Notes about a ferrite plate arranged in this way also in connection with a broad side wall to use the electrically conductive layer extending across the broad side wall can be found in the DE-AS 10 81 087, however, cannot be found.
The object of the invention is to provide advantageous configurations of such directional lines when at the same time the greatest possible freedom in terms of structural design and manufacture is achieved shall be.
Diese Aufgabe wird bei einer Richtungsleitung der einleitend genannten Art erfindungsgemäß nach dem kennzeichnenden Teil des Patentanspruches gelöstThis object is achieved according to the invention in a directional line of the type mentioned in the introduction characterizing part of the claim solved
In der Figur ist eine Ausführungsform dargestellt wobei davon auszugehen ist daß die auftretende elektrisehe Feldverteilung aus der einleitend genannten Literaturstelle an sich bekannt istIn the figure, an embodiment is shown where it is to be assumed that the occurring electrical Field distribution is known per se from the reference cited in the introduction
Das Ausführungsbeispiel zeigt eine Anordnung mi: einem Rechteckhohlleiter 1, der hinsichtlich der Abmessungen seiner Breit- und Schmalseiten so dimensioniertThe embodiment shows an arrangement mi: a rectangular waveguide 1, which in terms of dimensions its broad and narrow sides so dimensioned
Let it be said that the HlO wave is viable. Asymmetrical to the field distribution, an electrically conductive layer 2 is arranged which connects the broad sides of the rectangular waveguide be divided into two bar-like sections 3a and 3b , one side of which runs along the conductive layer 2 and the other side of which runs along the upper and lower waveguide broad side.
According to the cited literature references, it is necessary for the electrical mode of operation to expose the ferrite to a permanent magnetic field, so that the divided ferrite sections 3a and 3b are therefore subjected to a premagnetization. If a switchable DC magnetic field is selected for this premagnetization, then the arrangement shown can also be used as a microwave holder.
