Während der Drehung laufen die Abtastprismen 11 den kurzen ansteigenden Abschnitt 121 des Arbeitsanlaufes 120 an, wo sie angehoben werden. Somit höhren die Abzugselemente 6 auf, auf dem entsprechenden Winkelbogen auf das Gestrick einzuwirken. Zu Beginn des Hebens des jeweiligen Abzugselementes 6, angedeutet durch die Linie A, befinden sich jedoch die entsprechenden Nadeln unter dem Einfluß des Schlosses 22 bereits in ihrer Einschließstellung, so daß die neuen Maschen nicht gebildet werden und auch kein neues Garn gelegt wird. Das Gestrick steht nicht unter der Wirkung von Nadeln. Danach bewegen sich die Abtastprismen 11 entlang des langsam abfallenden Abschnittes 122 des Arbeitsanlaufs 120.
