Abstract

The mechanism clamps a rubber blanket in the lengthwise groove of a rotary printing press cylinder, having one or more tension spindles turned about their axes and with fixing devices for the blanket ends. A tapped hole (11) from the groove base (10) towards the axis of rotation (21) of the cylinder accommodates a bolt (13) with a socket (20) in the free end inside the groove (2) for a turning tool. The bolt and the spindles (3, 4) are positively coupled together by a drive mechanism (14, 18, 19), so that axial movement of the bolt turns the spindles about their respective axes.
