2. Verwendung des Modellwachses nach Anspruch 1 als Schablonenwachs.2. Use of the model wax according to claim 1 as a template wax.
Model wax mixtures have been used in dental laboratories for setting up artificial teeth for decades used. Such a wax ζ B. known from DE-OS 16 16 470 contains a largest Components made of hard paraffin (melting point around 56 ° C) and microcrystalline hydrocarbon wax (Melting point around 70 ° C) and synthetic hydrocarbon resin (Melting point around 100 "C) as well as natural wax. The technician needs for its processing a so-called wax knife, which he first heats over a gas flame, then the wax melts it at the specific point and then inserts the artificial tooth there He must repeat the process for each individual tooth. After all, he has to go along with the teeth that have been set up in this way Model the wax to ensure a secure hold. This way of working, for decades in dental laboratories is time consuming, labor intensive and therefore uneconomical. Further Disadvantages of the known model waxes are either too great a fragility and brittleness or on the other hand, too great elasticity and softness. These deficiencies require that the technician Wax must be stabilized with wires or shellac plates in order to avoid a plate break or a Avoid deformation. Furthermore, the known model waxes only have insufficient adhesive strength, so that the adhesion of the teeth in the wax is insufficiently guaranteed.
Durch die Erfindung soll die Aufgabe gelöst werden, ein nicht sprödes Wachs zu schaffen, das sich ohne Wachsmesser verarbeiten läßt, dabei beim Zahnaufstellen keine zusätzlichen Stabilisiereinlagen erfordert, beim Abküh'en ohne Kontraktion erhärten und keine Isolierung des Modellgipses erfordertThe invention aims to achieve the object of creating a non-brittle wax that can be used without Can be used with wax knives and does not require additional stabilizing inserts when setting up the teeth, harden on cooling without contraction and does not require isolation of the plaster of paris
lederarlige. plastische Platte. The wax mixture specified in claim 1 solves this problem. Ice can also be used advantageously as a template wax.
To produce the model wax according to the invention, the various waxes and resins are heated above the respective melting points, provided with dye and then mixed and homogenized in the specified ratio. The hot, liquid mass is poured onto metal sheets and then rolled out through a wax roller to the desired thickness. Other components, e.g. B. smell, - and flavorings, can be added to both the hot and the cooled mass. Then the rolled wax is cut or punched in the desired shape. The end product is a tooth-fish-colored, leather-like one. plastic plate.
By heating over a Bunsen burner, in a water bath at 40 0 C, or by means of a hot fan, this product becomes pliable and can be plastically applied to the model! to shape. Kneading with your fingers creates a chewing gum-like mass with an adhesive force that is necessary and sufficient for dental work, whereby there is a bond with the wax plate formed on the plaster model, the so-called template or palate plate, but no adhesion to the plaster model itself Mixing also means that when the wax is applied, the plaster model does not have to be provided with an insulating solution, as was previously the case. Another advantage over conventional model waxes is that this putty solidifies only slowly. This gives the dental technician the opportunity to set up your teeth in a simple way, namely by pressing the artificial teeth into the plastic mass with your fingers, i.e. without using a wax knife or a gas flame. As a result, only ¼ of the previously usual time is required for this work. This simplified way of working also eliminates the need for laborious modeling with additional wax. After the tooth decay is complete, the wax model is simply quenched with cold water. The material solidifies in seconds without a knockout. traction to a solid mass and can be easily removed from the plaster model. An advantage that cannot be overlooked is that during the dental try-in of the prosthesis, the well-holding material prevents the teeth from breaking out, as is deformation, since the model wax according to the invention is rigid after cooling.
The process of softening and re-hardening of the wax mass can advantageously be carried out as desired repeat often. Therefore, wax residues can be completely used up without generating any waste.
So werden wertvolle Rohstoffe gespartThis saves valuable raw materials
