Description
KAISERLICHESIMPERIAL
PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.
The present invention relates to a filter device in which the filter cakes are continuously or periodically removed from the filter plates. The device consists in a known manner of a number of filter plates located in a housing and mounted on a rotating hollow shaft. In order to achieve a filter cake as dry as possible in such a filter device, screws are arranged according to the invention for the purpose of removing the filter cake between the filter disks, which are located outside the liquid level and remove the removed, approximately dry material from the housing. By introducing compressed air above the liquid level in the filter housing, the filter cake is compressed and pre-dried.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing. Fig. Ι illustrates the filter device in vertical section, and FIG. 2 viewed from above with the upper housing half removed. The filter consists of an expediently cylindrical housing a in which a number of round filter disks c mounted on a hollow shaft b rotate. Between each two filter disks, screws g are arranged, which possibly with the aid of scrapers remove the filter cake from the disks c and convey it to the outside. The screws are arranged so that they are outside the liquid during the removal of the filter cake.
Die Arbeitsweise des Apparates ist folgende:The operation of the device is as follows:
If you want to work periodically, the entire apparatus is first filled with liquid filled and the contents put under pressure or the interior of the hollow axle under vacuum. Then cover the filter discs with a sufficiently thick layer of filter cake covered, the liquid is completely drained and the cake is pressed with air. By means of a suitable drive the filter disks are then set in rotation so that the material is removed from the screws is promoted to the outside world.
The apparatus can also be used continuously by first opening the Apparatus completely and completely fills a layer of material of the required pressure Thickness can be applied to the filters. Then the liquid is drained so far that the snails and scrapers are no longer in the liquid, and sets the filter discs in rotation. The snails briefly introduce the material that has now been separated out the immersion of the filter discs in the liquid, so that the main mass Immediately dip the disks freed from the filter cake back into the liquid, and yourself forms a filter cake again. In this case, the filter cake formed becomes continuous discharged.
