Abstract

Transverse webs are used which have a number of openings. The webs run between the top and bottom sides of the inflatable sole member while foam pieces (13) are connected between the webs to the top and bottom sides (2). The foam bodies pref. fill up the spaces between the transverse webs and can be stuck to the top and bottom sides. By filling up the entire pressure chambers the top and bottom sides can be held at a defined distance from each other over their entire surface so that no curving or bulging can occur. A very even smooth surface is thus obtained so that the pressure exerted when running or walking is distributed over the entire face.
