Description
KAISERLICHESIMPERIAL
PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.
The present invention is a process for the production of regular, sewn Stockings with ι and ι ribbed Lengths and backs of the feet and French reduced tip.
Auf den Zeichnungen ist der Strumpf in den einzelnen Stufen seiner Entstehung inIn the drawings, the stocking is shown in the individual stages of its creation
Fig. ι bis 3 veranschaulicht, währendFig. Ι to 3 illustrates, while
Fig. 4 den fertigen Strumpf bzw. Socken ίο darstellt. DieFig. 4 shows the finished stocking or socks ίο. the
Figures 5, 6 and 7 illustrate in schematic form Representations of the way of working.
Das Verfahren ist folgendes:The procedure is as follows:
You first work the edge α and the ribbed 1 and 1 lengths b as well as the back of the foot c and the heel parts d in a known manner on a edging machine as far as Fig. Ι shows. Then you push the heel parts d with the edge stitches ef and the back of the foot c with the free stitches gi on the row of needles of a cotton chair, as is also known (Fig. 2) and bring the butted edge gi of the back of the foot c in for other purposes known way under the knock-off comb I, while the heel edges ef remain in the working position on the needles (as shown in FIG. 5). Now the two parts k of the sole of the foot are worked onto the heel parts d. The back of the foot c, which formed a fold when the rows gi were pushed open, is stretched by the processing of the parts k , as can be seen from FIGS. 3 and 6. When this is achieved, the opened stitches gi of the back of the foot c are brought into the working position via the stop comb, as shown in Fig. 7, and then continue to work with a thread guide over the entire width, so that the point is finished in a known manner (Fig. 3). The so far finished stocking is then, as is known, sewn together according to its entire outer shape, and the foot parts fg, fi are united by linking or by seaming. The stocking produced by the new process is cheaper to bring on the market, and it is more sought-after because the French lace is incorporated.
