Description
The aim of the invention is to avoid viscous, sludge-like and pulpy conveyed material to demand strong frictional pressures over long distances and great heights. The ones to be promoted Bulk goods can be dewatered or juiced at the same time.
If, according to the invention, a conveyor pipe (Fig. Ι and 2) or a channel (Fig. 3 and 4) designed such that the wall A has one electrode and a chain or a wire rope B running along the inside of the tube or the channel forms the other electrode, the phenomena known as electroosmosis or cataphoresis appear in the mud or pulp filling the pipe or the channel. This is because a layer of liquid C is deposited on the inner wall of the pipe or the channel from the viscous, sludge-like or pulpy conveyed material D to be conveyed. This reduces the friction between the conveyed material D and the pipe or channel wall to a very low level. The material to be conveyed can be moved forward by the wire rope B forming an electrode. If the pipe wall is made of porous, e.g. B. so-called Hanover metal executed and manufactured roughly like this; that the pipe cross-section, in the middle of which the other electrode is arranged, narrows progressively (Fig. 5 and 6), you can dehydrate or extract juice from the conveyed material advanced in the pipe A by means of an electrically non-conductive piston G, if necessary, by removing a portion the liquid used to reduce friction is drawn off through the channel wall at H (FIGS. 5 and 6).
In FIGS. 1 to 6 of the drawing, E denotes the supply and F denotes the discharge of the material to be conveyed.
