Bei der Handbuchbinderei ist es bisher erforderlich, auf den mit Leim versehenen Bogen sowohl die Pappdecken wie den Rückenstreifen einzeln aufzulegen, um sie alsdann durch Umlegen der überstehenden Kanten mit dem Bogen zu überziehen. Es ist zwar bekannt, bei Buchbindereimaschinen die einzelnen Decken mittels Sauger anzuheben, um sie an einer anderen Arbeitsstelle abzulegen, wo sie beklebt werden sollen. Bei diesen Maschinen ist die Saugvorrichtung, die zum Forttragen der Buchdecken dient, von der Pumpe völlig getrennt und mit dieser durch einen Schlauch verbunden. Nach der Erfindung soll ein einfaches Werkzeug zum Bekleben von Buchdecken dadurch geschaffen werden, daß die Pumpe mitten auf einem rahmenartigen Gestell angeordnet wird zwischen den Saugern, die die Deckenteile anzuheben haben. Die Pumpenhebel sollen dabei zugleich auch als Handgriffe für den ganzen Apparat dienen, der im wesentlichen aus der vorgenannten Saugpumpe besteht. Dabei sollen die Handgriffe, welche die Pumpe in Tätigkeit zu setzen haben, zugleich auch zur Bewegung des ganzen Werkzeuges dienen und. durch die bloße Aufsetzbewegung des Werkzeuges auf das Werkstück niedergedrückt und hierdurch die Saugwirkung der Pumpe zur Geltung gebracht werden.In the case of manual binding, it has so far been necessary lay both the cardboard covers and the backing strips individually on the sheet provided with glue, in order to then pass them through Fold over the protruding edges with the sheet. Wird die Vorrichtung mit diesen Pappen auf den mit Leim versehenen Papierbogen r aufgesetzt und die Sperrvorrichtung q für die Handhebel mit den Fingern gelöst, so werden durch Zurückführen der Handhebel in ihre Anfangsstellung die Pappen ι, 2 und 3 freigegeben, und die Vorrichtung kann von neuem wieder auf den dreifachen Papierstapel aufgesetzt werden.
