Denn erfindungsgemäß ist die Federkraft der Schraubenfeder 5 so ausgelegt, daß die Membran 4 bei einem nur über die Eintrittsöffnung des Rohrstutzens 6 wirkenden Druck der Kraftstoffströmung noch nicht in Richtung einer Öffnung der von der Membran verschlossenen Rohrstutzenöffnung verschoben wird. Während der Kraftstoffströmung befindet sich die Membran 4 voll im Schwebezustand und liegt nur an der Schraubenfeder 5 an. Der Kraftstoff gelangt über den Außenrand der Membran 4 zum Filtereinsatz. Die Membran 4 ist selbst auf ihrem radialen Umfang derart elastisch, daß sie nicht nur gegen die Kraft der Schraubenfeder 5, sondern auch in sich schwingen kann. Die erforderliche Eigenelastizität läßt sich besonders günstig durch das Vorsehen von umlaufenden in Sickenfder Membran 4 erreichen. Der freie Schwebezustand der Membran bewirkt die erwünschte Dämpfung der durch die Kraftstoffpumpe in den Kraftstoff eingebrachten Schwingungen in für die Praxis voll befriedigender Weise.
