Die bisherigen Doppelröhren -Wärmeaustauscher bestanden aus einem System von Innenrohren, die in Zickzackform angeordnet waren, und aus Mantelrohren, die die Innenrohre umfaßten und die ebenfalls in Zickzackanordnung geführt waren. Die beiden Systeme waren dabei so miteinander verbunden, daß die Verbindungsstellen zweier benachbarter Innenrohre und zweier benachbarter Mantelrohre auf derselben Seite lagen. Eine Anordnung dieser bekannten Art ist schematisch in Fig.. ι abgebildet. Die Innenrohre sind mit a, die Mantelrohre mit b bezeichnet. Die Erfindung besteht nun darin, daß die beiden Rohrsysteme — Innenrohrsystem und Mantelrohrsystem — um eine Stufe gegeneinander versetzt sind, so daß die Verbindungsstücke für zwei benachbarte Innenrohre und zugehörige Mantelrohre auf den beiden Seiten (also nicht mehr auf derselben Seite) liegen. Ein zweiter wesentlicher Vorteil der neuen Anordnung liegt darin, daß für jeden der Verbindungsstutzen c und d der volle Platz auf einer Seite zur Verfügung steht. Besonders geeignet ist die Anordnung nach der Erfindung bei Anwendung auf Doppelröhren-Wärmeaustauscher, die aus einzelnen Doppelrohren zusammengeschraubt sind. Jedes Einzelstück (Fig. 3) besteht dabei aus einem Innenrohr α und einem mit ihm verschweißten Mantelrohr b. Die Flanschen c zum Verbinden der Innenrohre und f zum Verbinden der Mantelrohre sind an die umgebogenen Rohrenden angeschweißt. Vorteilhaft ist dabei wieder, daß die Rohrenden nach zwei verschiedenen Seiten gebogen sind. Aus den Einzelstücken können beliebig lange Austauscher zusammengesetzt werden. Jedes Einzelstück kann bei Schadhaftwerden getrennt ausgewechselt werden. Es ist nur die Mindestanzahl von Schraubenverbindungen erforderlich.
