Der Apparat hat den Zweck, den Geruchverschlufs des Closets bei eintretender Verstopfung durch Papier und Excremente von solchen zu reinigen und wieder functionsfähig zu machen. Dies geschieht dadurch, dafs man den Cylinder A, dessen unterer Konus c mit einem Gummiring bekleidet ist, der genau in die untere Oeffnung des Ciosettrichters B pafst, mit emporgezogenem Kolben k, der mittelst Handgriffes und Kolbenstange auf- und abzubewegen ist, hineinsetzt, so dafs sich der Cylinder A mit dem im Ciosettrichter stehenden Wasser anfüllt, und nun den Kolben hinabdrückt. Dadurch werden die an der Stelle ο des Geruchverschlusses^- angesammelten Verstopfungsobjecte aus dem Geruchverschlufs hinausgetrieben.The purpose of the device is to clean the odor trap of the closet when it becomes clogged with paper and castings and to make it functional again.
