Kompensations-Anordnung für zwei relativ gegeneinanderCompensation arrangement for two relative to each other
verdrehte Hohlleitertwisted waveguide
The invention is concerned with a compensation arrangement for two aligned and abutting waveguides of the same cross-section, the main axes of which are relative to one another are rotated by an angle and in the case of broadband compensation in the area of the hollow conductor joint a suitable dummy element is attached.
Such an arrangement was already proposed for the connection of an antenna to a radio system in order to be able to use it If necessary, the direction of the polarization of a transmitted wave can be stolen, for example one can use the waveguide so twist against each other that the transferring shaft polished either horizontally or vertically.

The present invention has been found in such an arrangement set the task of solving the compensation of the waveguide joint in the simplest possible way.
According to the invention this is achieved in that the blind element is realized by a sheet inserted between the flanges of the waveguide, which is one of the resulting Opening cross-section of the waveguide corresponding recess and two in this cross-section symmetrical to the bisector dos smaller angle between the two small ones Has axles of the waveguide protruding capacitive load.
The invention is to be explained in more detail below with the aid of the figures will.
In FIG. 1, the strongly bordered line shows the opening which is made in the compensation plate 3 will. With l and 2, the two waveguides are referred to, which about their main axis against each other by an angle α are turned. It can be seen at 5 and 6 that the recess in the compensation plate 3 has two capacitive loads, where the sheet protrudes into the resulting opening cross-section of the two waveguides. This load is symmetrical to bisect the smaller angle between the two minor axes of the waveguide.

In dor Fig. 2 the top view is shown on two mutually threatened waveguides 1 and 2, between whose end flanges k and 5, the compensation plate 3 is arranged.
Fig. 3 shows the top view of the front end of the Waveguide 1 with its associated flange 4, which is circular is trained. The triangular line drawn in dashed lines 2 is intended to indicate the position of the angularly rotated waveguide 2 to be connected.
In Fig. K , the plan view of the Korapcnsationsblcch is shown. The edge of the recess in the circular sheet corresponds to the resulting remaining opening cross section of the two mutually twisted waveguides 1 and 2. The two projections protruding into the resulting waveguide cross section are again denoted by 5 and 7.
In dor Fig. 5 is a cross section through an inventive Arrangement shown with the compensation plate 3 between the two flanges' i and 5 of the waveguides 1 and 2, which are formed so that the one flange has a circular projection which is in a corresponding circular recess of the other flange can be rotatably mounted.

For application £ .f all where there is a continuous twist over a larger angular range with constant mismatch is required, the arrangement is expedient designed so that the compensation plate is held by a positive guide on the bisector will. This can be achieved by making a recess 0 and 9 respectively in a flange and in the compensation plate attaches and by a guide pin engaging in these grooves 10 causes the forced operation.
Die Blechdicke betrug dabei 0,3 nra·The thickness of the compensation sheet and the size of the capacitance loads 6 and 7 protruding into the resulting opening cross-section are determined experimentally for the given waveguide. When using two standardized rectangular waveguides R / kO, for example, the capacitive load was chosen so that the part of the compensation plate protruding into the resulting hollow waveguide cross-section was approx. The sheet thickness was 0.3 nra
Die Anordnung ermöglicht eine ausreichende KompensationThe compensation arrangement constructed according to the invention enabled broadband compensation to be achieved, because the disturbance is compensated at the place of its origin. The arrangement enables sufficient compensation

In addition, it is easily possible to use the compensation hole arranged between the splashes to be removed if a twist angle of 0 ° is required.
In microwave technology, twisted pieces or flexible waveguides are required for this in order to extend a To enable waveguide train with a predetermined or adjustable twist angle. Known drill pieces or Flexible waveguides require a relatively large overall length for a certain angle of twist. For these tasks a compensation arrangement according to the present invention can now also be used, which has the advantage a very short length. Depending on the requirements, two compensation arrangements, for example, are used for this according to FIG. 5 with the interposition of a short waveguide section to form a fixed structural unit sum up. Through the joint adjustment of the two compensation plates in connection with the intermediate one Waveguide section gives you reflection factors that are comparable to expensive and very long ones previously common waveguide drill pieces. Such a unit can be constructed so that its overall length ^ = λ / 4, where λ is the mean waveguide operating wavelength is designated.
