Bei der Herstellung von gemusterten Band- und zwar insbesondere bei solchen mit in größeren Abständen liegenden Figuren, ist es vielfach erforderlich, die auf der Geweberückseite zwischen den einzelnen Figuren flottliegenden Figurfadenteile zu entfernen, weil diese namentlich bei hellem Grund und dunkler Figur auf der Schauseite durchscheinen und dadurch das Aussehen des Bandes beeinträchtigen.
