Bei zweiflügeligen Toren, Türen, Fenstern u. dgl. tritt sehr häufig durch ungleichmäßiges Setzen in den Scharnieren, durch den Einfluß des Windes, durch die Temperaturunterschiede zwischen Außen- und Innenraum, und schließlich durch zu scharf eingepaßte Spannstreben ein Klemmen in der Stoßfuge oder gar ein Übereinanderlegen der Flügel und ein Windschiefwerden ein. Man läßt deshalb die Stoßfuge etwas breiter und deckt diese dann durch eine am Torflügel aufgesetzte Deckleiste ab. Das Windschiefwerden kann hierdurch aber nicht verhindert werden, und es können dann die Verschlüsse nicht mehr so wirken, wie dies bei vollkommen ebenen Toren der Fall ist. Wird z. B. der Verschluß durch eine drehbare Stange mit oberem und unterem Daumenhaken bewirkt, so kann es vorkommen, daß nur ein Haken hinter den zugehörigen Dorn greift, der andere Haken aber vor seinen Dorn. Nach der Erfindung soll nun an der Stoßkante des einen Flügels auf der einen Seite eine feste Deckleiste, auf der andern Seite aber eine drehbare Deckleiste angebracht werden, welche nach dem Schließen des Tors umgelegt wird und beide Flügel in eine Ebene zwingt, etwa nach dem Prinzip der Spundwände oder des gespundeten Bohlenbelags.
