Es sind Kammertrennwände für Ringöfen bekannt mit mehreren senkrechten, abwechselnd auf- und abwärts führenden Kanälen. Um nach Belieben in den Kammern eines solchen Kammerringofens einen auf- oder absteigenden Gasstrom erzielen zu können, wird diese Trennwand (vgl. Patentschrift 199451) als Schaltwand ausgebildet. Die einzelnen Kammern sind demgemäß durch Wände getrennt, die, wie in beiliegender Zeichnung dargestellt ist, mehrere Kanäle a, a, b, b enthalten, die durch Schieber geschlossen werden können. Ein Teil, nämlich die Kanäle a, haben, in der Richtung des Feuerfortschrittes gesehen, ihren Gaseintritt unten und ihren Gasaustritt auf der andern Seite der Wand oben; der andere Teil der Kanäle, nämlich die Kanäle δ, haben, in der Richtung des Feuerfortschrittes gesehen, ihren Gaseintritt oben und den Gasaustritt auf der andern Seite der Wand unten. Durch Schließen der Schamotteschieber c kann der Durchgang durch die Kanäle a, durch Schließen der Schieber d der Durchgang durch die Kanäle b aufgehoben werden. Durch entsprechendes Schließen und öffnen der Schieber läßt sich erreichen, daß einerseits die Rauchgase im Kammerringofen durch die Kanäle a aufwärts, also im Einsatz abwärts ziehen, und daß andererseits die Verbrennungsluft durch die Kanäle b abwärts, also im Einsatz aufwärts zieht, so daß mit überschlagender Flamme gebrannt und vorgewärmt, dagegen mit aufsteigender Luft gekühlt werden kann.There are chamber partitions for ring furnaces known with several vertical, alternating up and down channels.
