They offer the Advantage of low material waste due to thin cut, little effort required to drive the. saw, as with wide saws or quick replacement of damaged ones Cut and avoid the disadvantage of center-powered circular saws like swinging the leaf and with it
ίο verbundene ungenaue Schnitte.ίο connected imprecise cuts.
The invention consists essentially in the fact that a cutting ring which is toothed on its inner edge is held in the central opening of a saw blade by wedge effect.
The invention also extends to arrangements and configurations of the fastening means between cutting ring and saw blade.
FIG. 4 is a section taken along the line 4-4 of FIG. 2 on a larger scale; FIG. 5 shows the view of a modified embodiment of the circular saw, FIG. 6 a section along the line 6-6 of FIG. 5 and FIG. 7 a section along the line 7-7 of the Fig. 5
The sheet serving as a carrier for the cutting ring 2 has a number of openings on its circumference and can be attached to a rotating drive device, e.g. B. be attached to a hollow rim of a drive part. The blade 1 has a central opening for receiving the cutting ring 2, which is provided with cutting edges or teeth 25, 26 along its inner edge. The inner edge of the saw blade 1 is provided with an annular series of wedge surfaces 11 inclined backwards and inwards with respect to the cutting direction of the teeth and the outer edge of the cutting ring 2 with a series of wedge surfaces 21 inclined forwards and outwards corresponding to the aforementioned series of wedge surfaces. The cutting ring 2 can be inserted from the side into the central opening of the saw blade 1 when the approximately radial edge parts between the upper and lower ends of two adjacent wedge surfaces 11, 11 and 21, 21 coincide. If the ring 2 is then rotated backwards with respect to the cutting direction, the wedge surfaces 21 of the cutting ring 2 come into firm engagement with the wedge surfaces 11 of the blade 1, whereby the ring is held in place by wedge action. This wedge effect, which holds the ring 2 in the blade 1, is further improved by the pressure of the cutting edges or teeth during work. If the ring is to be removed, a slight rotation of the same in the cutting direction is sufficient, as a result of which the wedge surfaces 21 of the cutting ring stand out somewhat from the wedge surfaces 11 of the blade. The ring can then be easily removed from the side of the sheet.
Appropriately between two successive in the direction of the circumference wedge surfaces ii, ii or 21, 21 cutouts 12 and 22 are provided so that each cutout 22 of the cutting ring is in the blocking position through a corresponding cutout 12 of the saw blade to an opening is supplemented. Plugs 3 are inserted into one or some of these openings to prevent the ring 2 from rotating in the sheet 1. As a material for this plug 3 lead or another soft metal is suitable, which is in the molten state in the recesses. cast or easily driven into the opening in the form of a rivet and, if the cutting ring is to be replaced, it can be easily removed again. In order to prevent the plugs from falling out of the openings, it is expedient to bevel the edges of the openings, as illustrated at α in FIG. 4, so that widened openings are created at their ends. When the plug is produced by pouring the openings with molten soft metal, this also fills the enlarged space, so that a kind of rivet sunk on both sides is created and the finished plug is prevented from falling out of the openings. When rivets made of soft metal are driven into the openings, the widened ends of the openings are filled by driving up the rivet ends.
In order, on the one hand, to prevent transverse displacement of the cutting ring with respect to the blade, and, on the other, to increase the wedging effect, the wedge surfaces 11 of the blade or those 2i a of the cutting ring are roof-shaped grooves running lengthwise in a known manner and the wedge surfaces on the other part with the roof-shaped ones Provided grooves corresponding ribs, which grooves and ribs firmly engage one another when the cutting ring is in the blocking position. The height of the ribs must be selected with reference to the inclination of the wedge surfaces and with reference to the light of the openings 12, 22 measured in the direction of the circumference, which forms the measure for the greatest possible relative twisting between ring and blade, so that the ribs when the radial edge parts between two successive wedges in the direction of the circumference abut one another are located entirely outside the V-shaped grooves.
It is advantageous to arrange the wedge surfaces that meet in pairs in such a way that that each cutting tooth approximately corresponds to a pair of wedge surfaces. As a result of this arrangement, each tooth is through a The pair of wedge surfaces lying in its tension zone supports the pressure of the cutting Tooth directly absorbs and thereby the cutting ring as a whole from the stress relieves it, especially if the ring is thin, to warp, to bulge or seeks to break.
The devices described allow a good attachment and quick replacement of the cutting ring and the use of the thinnest possible blades and rings. The manufacture of the Sheets and cutting rings do not require care and the retaining wedge surfaces do not need to be subsequently machined and fitted if the ring should have warped a bit during hardening. The ring is always elastic enough to adapt to the flat shape, even if it changes over time If the wedge surfaces should have worn out, the ring can be rotated accordingly can always be wedged. If the ring cracked while hardening should it be, it can still be used as it results in the support of each tooth within whose tension zone as a whole is not subject to tension.
As a result of the support of each tooth, the cutting rings can also be kept much thinner are absorbed as if the pressure exerted by the teeth when cutting is absorbed by longer segment parts of the cutting ring would have to be. As a result, even extremely thin cutting rings can cope with the stress caused by the wedging resist.
The saw according to the invention is so, although it can be made very thin, and therefore very little material wasted in the cut due to the peculiar arrangement the locking and at the same time supporting the individual teeth wedges extraordinary resilient. Since the cutting ring only requires thin material for its manufacture even with high quality material moderately cheap. The determination is perfect, so that even at the highest cutting speed there is no shuddering or trembling.
It is advantageous to design the cutting or teeth of the cutting ring so that each second tooth 26 with its working edge opposite the working edges of the rest Teeth 25 protrudes slightly.
All cutting edges or teeth 25, 26 can be of the same thickness or every second cutting edge 26 can be beveled at their corners 26 Λ (FIG. 3), so that alternating narrower and wider cutting edges are produced.
25' veranschaulicht. In Fig. 3a is another embodiment of the cutting ring with alternating narrower ones and further teeth 26 'and 25', respectively.
If necessary, the cutting ring can also be used, especially for very heavy work inserted teeth are provided, which are made for the processing of a particularly high-quality Material suitable high-speed steel are made.
Such a saw is illustrated in FIGS. It means i a the saw blade, 2 a the removable cutting ring, the inner edge of which is provided with equally spaced recesses for receiving the teeth 3 fl made of high-speed steel or similar material, and 4 ** the one between two consecutive ones to fix the cutting ring in the saw blade serving wedge surface pairs 11 ', 21' located openings, in whose one or more plugs can be inserted to prevent rotation of the cutting ring in the saw blade.
