von feinen Düsen oder Löchern.of fine nozzles or holes.
Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 13. November 1909 ab.Patented in the German Empire on November 13, 1909.
Das Wesen der Erfindung besteht darin, daß die zu massiven Fäden auszuziehende Masse durch düsenförmige oder siebartige Löcher h mit Hilfe der Zentrifugalkraft durchgedrückt, ausgeworfen und dabei zu Fäden ausgezogenThe subject of the present invention is a new working method for the production of artificial silk threads together with a device for carrying out this method. The essence of the invention consists in that the mass to be drawn out into solid threads is pushed through nozzle-shaped or sieve-like holes h with the aid of centrifugal force, ejected and thereby drawn out into threads
The pulling out into fine threads occurs because the mass ejected through the nozzle-shaped holes finds resistance in the surrounding air or solidifying liquid, so that it cannot maintain the speed imparted to it by a rotating drum while the drum continues to rotate at the same speed . Due to the resulting difference in movements, the thread must be rotated without the need for the conventional spinning device. Since it is possible with the help of centrifugal force to generate very high pressures of the liquid against the wall of the drum and the number of holes can become large, the present method enables mass production of the largest scale, which has not been technically feasible until now. The method can also be carried out in such a way that the drum is left to stand still and the mass inside is set in a centrifugal motion so that it is ejected through the holes. In this case, however, it is expedient, in order to obtain a finer extraction of the mass that has been pressed out, to set the cooling liquid into which it enters into a centrifugal motion and thereby to carry away the exiting jets. For this purpose, the second outer drum f (FIG. 4) enclosing the inner drum e must be set in rotation, while it can stand still in the first type of implementation of the method (FIGS. 1 and 3). The solidification of the emerging threads can also be brought about by centrifugal force causing the thread to emerge from a nozzle which surrounds the thread, surrounded by the solidifying liquid.
In this process, the inner drum can be heated or cooled if necessary without any technical difficulties. The same thing can easily be done with the outer drum, depending upon need.
Das vorbeschriebene Verfahren kann auch zur Herstel-In addition, however, the present method offers the possibility in a simple manner of filling the silk threads inside with color liquid during ejection by introducing a color jet 0 into the outflow holes (Fig. 5) from behind, which is directed from the axis of rotation by the centrifugal force the colored liquid is pressed and driven into the inside of the pulling thread. This results in a solid thread that is colored from the inside. The method described above can also be used to manufacture
lung von Glaswolle, Schlackenwolle, ja selbst Metallschlamm benutzt werden.glass wool, slag wool, and even metal sludge can be used.
The devices used to carry out the method are illustrated schematically in FIGS. FIGS. 1 and 2 serve to eject massive threads and do not require any explanation. In Fig. 3, the outer drum α is stationary and only the inner centrifugal device b rotates; c is the guide nozzle, d is the thread that is thrown out. 4 and 5 illustrate the spinning out of internally dyed threads; through 0 , the colored liquid enters the threads ejected from c, c, g from the inside; i denotes the clutch for rotating the drum e.
