Den Gegenstand der Erfindung bildet ein Abscheideelement, das, ein- oder mehrmals hintereinander in ein rundes oder viereckiges Gehäuse eingebaut, dazu dient, flüssige Teilchen aus Gasen, Luft oder Dampf zu trennen. Ein derartiges Abscheideelement bildet ein in sich geschlossenes Ganzes; je nach dem gewünschten Grade der Abscheidung wird die Anzahl der Elemente gewählt.The subject of the invention is a separating element that, once or several times built in a row in a round or square housing, serves to hold liquid particles from gases, air or steam. Das Element besteht aus einem viereckigen, in vorliegendem Falle aus einem Flacheisen B gebogenen Kasten. Den Deckel A dieses Kastens, welcher der Einströmungsrichtung des Gases zugewandt ist, bildet ein irgendwie perforiertes Blech, am besten ein Gratblech, an dem sich schon flüssige Teilchen aus dem Gase absetzen. Der Boden C dieses Kastens besteht aus jalousieartig gebogenen Blechstreifen, welche an Querstäben D befestigt sind. Diese Streifen sind gemäß der Erfindung so gebogen, daß ihre in der Strömungsrichtung des zu reinigenden Mittels gedachte Projektion den Boden als geschlossene Wand erscheinen läßt. Das zu reinigende Gas strömt gegen den Deckel A und dringt, infolge seines Beharrungszustandes, durch dessen Öffnungen gegen den Boden C. Erst nachdem die Gase diesen Boden getroffen haben, können sie nach Richtungsänderung aus dem Element auf der zur Gaseintrittseite entgegengesetzten Seite austreten. Sie setzen also ihre Flüssigkeit teils an dem Deckel, in der Hauptsache aber am Boden des Apparates ab.The element consists of a square box, which in the present case is bent from a flat iron B.
