Abstract

The audio cable winding device is contained in the cabinet of a loudspeaker positioned in fron t of the screen of a 16mm sound cine film system. A.f. signals are transmitted from the cable through a slip ring to the loudspeaker. It has a fastening plate from which a pin projects and passes through the centre of a cable drum bearing. A guiding device limits axial movement of the cable drum . The pin forms part of a jack plug with at least two connections. One connection is made to the metal tip of the plug which has a circular groove and the other to the outer metal cylindrical part. The bearing is a sleeve suitable for the plug. The guiding device comprises the circular groove and a locking spring electrically and mechanically connected with the sleeve. Cable ends are connected to the sleeve and to the spring.
