Der Bügel ist vorteilhaft an einer Stelle geteilt. Diese sind mit nach der Innenseite gerichteten haarnadelartigen Dornen d versehen, die durch Biegen des Drahtes und Anordnung von Schutzkappen h an ihrer Abzweigstelle derart hergestellt sind, daß sich keine Haare an ihnen einklemmen können. Die Dorne könnten auch besonders angebracht werden. Die Enden der Bügel f sind zu Griffen g ausgestaltet und lassen sich vermittels derselben auseinanderbewegen. Das geschieht, wenn der Hut aufgesetzt wird. Werden die Griffe dann freigelassen, so stechen die Dorne d in das Haar ein, weil die beiden Bügel f, γ gemeinsam eine federnde Klammer bilden. Da die Vorrichtung sich gleichzeitig im Hute festklemmt, so kann sie sich auch nicht wieder lösen.
