Die Erfindung betrifft eine Befestigungsanordnung für Kappen an Gehäusen von Zündverteilern nach der Gattung des Anspruchs 1. Eine derartige Anordnung ist beispielsweise aus der DE 25 02 648 bekannt, bei der jedes der beiden Gewindelöcher in einem vom Außenmantel des Gehäuses abstehenden Auge angeordnet ist. Hierbei bestimmt die Einbaumöglichkeit des Zündverteilers im Motorraum, insbesondere am Motorblock, die Winkellage der Augen zu den Befestigungslappen des Gehäuses. Befestigungsanordnung für Kappen an Gehäusen von Zündverteilern mit mindestens zwei von der Kappe nach außen abstehenden Augen und mit mindestens zwei am Gehäuse angeordneten und mit den Augen korrespondierenden Gewindelöchern, wobei jeweils mittels einer in das Auge eingesteckten und mit dem Gewindeloch zusammenwirkenden Schraube die Kappe an dem Gehäuse lösbar befestigt ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß am Außenmantel (43) des Gehäuses eine umlaufende Nut (44) angeordnet ist und daß ein radial geteilter Sicherungsring (50) die beiden Gewindelöcher (27) aufweist und in der Nut (44) angeordnet ist. 1.
