Dental alloy The invention relates to a dental alloy for with
Crowns or bridges to be veneered with porcelain.
A number of requirements are made of materials for dental purposes,
all of which must be fulfilled, and to make the material appear suitable.
This includes a high 0.2 limit to avoid the hanic stresses that occur
without absorbing a plastic deformation so that the bridge or crown is not
must be dimensioned too large, a load on the wearer as low as possible
keep. The hardness should not be too high, uln the abrasion of your own teeth
to keep as possible. At the same time, this should also make it easy to make breathing easier in the dental laboratory
to be guaranteed. Good corrosion resistance should be given to all
Media that are used in food and drinks so that the dentures do not corrode.
It is also essential that a porcelain coating adheres well to the alloy, whereby
the thermal expansion coefficient of the alloy is matched to that of the porcelain
must be that compressive stresses in the porcelain layer even in a loaded state
available.
It is particularly important that the porcelain veneers develop during the firing process
The coating does not form a dark oxide skin that later shimmers through the porcelain layer.
The oxide skin that forms must also be easily removed from the places where
no porcelain is applied. Another hallmark of dental alloys
is their problem-free further processing. This includes that the alloy
melts together well and that the caster can tell when the melting point
is reached and the alloy can be poured into the mold. Being ideal
considered an alloy that melts like gold, which is often used for densi purposes
and otherwise has its properties, but is cheaper.
Dentallegierungen auf Nickelbasis sind schon bekannt. So weist z.B.Nickel-based dental alloys are already known. E.g.
die aus der DT-OS 1 941 204 bekannte Nickelbasis-Legierung und Dentalzwecke

Ruthenium, Iridium oder P@@ und etwa 2,5 % Beryllium. Solche berylliumhaltigen Dentallegierung

DT-OS 2 528 547 is a nickel-based dental alloy with 10 to 22% chromium,
1 to 5% aluminum, 0.5 to 2% silicon, 0.01 to 0.2% manganese and 0 to
7% molybdenum is known, with 0.2 to 2%. Strontium, lanthanum and / or zirconium

7.5 to 6% silicon, 3 to 5% molybdenum, 0.2 to 2 q ;, boron and up to 1% manganese
known. However, these known alloys have the disadvantage that the
during the firing process, the oxide hardness that forms the porcelain is not light enough and
shimmer through the porcelain in such a way that its melting behavior is not good enough
is and that an undesirable increase in strength occurs during the firing process, the
is disadvantageous for further processing.
According to the invention, a dental alloy is now proposed,
which does not adhere to the mentioned disadvantages of known alloys and in particular
like gold melts, in the porcelain firing process a very light color and easily removable
Oxide skin can arise and after the firing process no increase in strength and
Increase in hardness but even decrease in hardness. The inventive
Dental alloy consists of:
ma>: 0.03% carbon max.0.04
% Manganese max, 0.5% iron 3, 7 to 4, 2% silicon 19.0 to 20.5% chromium 5, 5 to
6.5% molybdenum, 0.5 to 1.0% boron, 0.2 to 0.8% cerium, with the remainder nickel being used
the stated dental alloy according to the invention is intended in particular for production
of crowns or bridges that were fired, i.e. after veneering with porcelain
a 0.2 limit before at least 350 N / mm², an elongation at break of at least 3.5%
as well as a hardness HV10 of no more than 300.
Cerium in the alloy can also be obtained from the addition of commercially available
Cermix metal originate, with the others in the cermix metal in addition
existing elements would be present in the alloy in corresponding contents.

therefore does not encounter any toxicity concerns. The proportionate
light oxide skin that occurs during the porcelain firing process is determined to be present
returned by cerium. Finally, the good melting behavior should be due to the absence
based on aluminum and the common presence of boron and cerium. Significant
But it is also a careful coordination of all alloying elements with one another.
This is the only way to achieve all the required properties in the desired quality
