Abstract

The heat exchanger comprises a number of open-ended parallel tubes, flexibly joined together along their longitudinal edges; connecting elements (i.e., ducts) are laid across the ends of the pipes to join them together, esp. after the pipes have been placed. These ducts may be formed of corrugated tubes, esp. metal tubes with longitudinal seam welds, but the tubes are not necessarily corrugated; instead, supporting prismatic sections (15), such as box-shaped sections, on-edge strips, T-sections are placed between the tubes, esp. after they have been positioned. The fluid connections between adjacent tubes may be so arranged that some of the tubes are eliminated from the circuit, i.e., only every second, every third or every fourth tube is connected into the fluid circuit. This arrangement is particularly suitable for varying the output of a radiator.
