Kreuzgelenkkupplung. Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 25. November 1911 ab.Universal joint coupling. Patented in the German Empire on November 25, 1911.
The invention is a universal joint coupling, which has the disadvantage of uneven Transmission, as it is with Hooke's joint, especially with small angles of inclination the waves against each other, occurs, avoids.
Beim Erfindungsgegenstand tritt dieser "Übelstand nicht auf; die Übertragung bleibt gleichmäßig, solange der Winkel, unter welchemThis "evil" occurs with the subject matter of the invention not on; the transmission remains uniform as long as the angle at which
Erst bei noch spitzeren Winkeln treten Ungleichmäßigkeiten in der Übertragung auf.ίο which extended beyond the waves Cut the center lines of the waves, do not become more acute than about 45 °. Only with even more pointed ones Angles, inconsistencies in transmission occur.
This is achieved in that the connection of the two shaft ends by two Links is made that interlock with surface contact and around perpendicular to the shafts standing axes are rotatable. The two links then roll like this from each other that their axes of rotation always remain in one plane.
The drawing shows three exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention. represents.
I, 3 and 6 are views of one embodiment each ; Fig. 2, 4 and 7 show the same • embodiments after the waves have rotated 90 °; Fig. 5 is a sectional view of the transmission links of the embodiment 3 and 4, and FIGS. 8, 9 and 10 show the arrangement schematically two waves under 90, 45 and i8o °.
Assume that α is the driving shaft and b is the driven shaft; this assumption is quite arbitrary, it could just as well be the other way around. Both shafts bear in Fig. 1 and 2 in forks c and d spherical heads e and f. Each of these heads has g a groove and h is a rib which engage with surface contact one another such that the contact surface at the position of the balls according to Fig. ι falls in the line connecting the axes of rotation i and k of the balls e and f. The surface lies in a radial plane of both balls. As can be seen in FIG. 2, the ribs and grooves themselves are curved according to arcs of a circle around the center points of the two spheres. The links e and f roll on each other when the shafts rotate, while their axes of rotation i and k , which are perpendicular to the shafts, always remain in a plane that coincides with the plane of contact. A rotation of the shafts by 90 ° corresponds to a rotation of the contact plane by the same angle, ie from the upper vertical position of the plane according to FIG. 1 into the front horizontal position according to FIG. 2, from there into the lower vertical position symmetrically to that of FIG. i, then symmetrically with respect to the rear dare right position, Fig. 2 and back to the upper vertical position of Fig. 1. g the point of engagement of the guide pieces, thereby describing a circle in the bisector of the angle h, at which the via the shaft ends cut beyond extended shaft centerlines. In Fig. 8 and 9, this angle is denoted by α; in Fig. 10 it is 180 °, so the bisector is below 90 °. The circle that the point of engagement describes is in this case a point, namely the point of engagement itself.
As a result of this relocation of the engagement circle in the plane of the bisector is obtained one, as already indicated at the beginning, for waves with an inclination of up to about 45 ° uniform angular velocity and uniform power transmission. A second A significant advantage of the subject of the invention is its great simplicity, since only four links - two balls and two guides - are required.
The embodiment described has the disadvantage that the forks c and d or their pins limit the length of the guide pieces g and h. Fig. 2 shows that the angle α cannot be made much smaller than 90 °. One could use joints arranged in the balls instead of the external forks, but such joints are difficult to implement and, in addition, are very heavily stressed because of the different lever arms on which the force acts and on which it is transmitted.
Eine einfachere und hinsichtlich der Beanspruchung zweckmäßigere Lösung zeigen Fig. 3 und 4, 6 und 7.FIG. 3 shows a simpler solution that is more expedient in terms of stress and 4, 6 and 7.
According to FIGS. 3 and 4, the axes of rotation i and k of the interlocking and rolling elements e and f, in contrast to the first embodiment, are not mounted in forks but in spherical extensions c and d of the shafts α and b. The links e and f are designed as loops, which can be extended beyond their pivot points without difficulty, whereby an inclination of the shafts against each other at a fairly acute angle is made possible. Here, too, the axes of rotation i and k always remain in one plane when the links e and f roll.
The embodiment according to FIGS. 6 and 7 has, instead of the forks or balls, cross heads c and d on which the loops e and f are rotatably mounted by means of the axes i and k. The loops themselves are designed so that one is cut in a U-shape on the circumference and the other is inserted into it. So there is no engagement plane falling into the common plane of the axes of rotation, a disadvantage that has to be accepted in the illustrated simple design of the loops.
The designs with loops generally have the disadvantages that the distance between the The shaft ends are larger than when the guides are formed in the balls themselves and that the mass effects of the loops, especially in larger systems and high speed, turn out to be quite considerable.
