Es empfiehlt sich jedoch jedenfalls, die Anordnung so zu treffen, daß die Wärme des Strangpreßwerkzeuges 3 nichi ohne weiteres in die Druckkammer 11 hineinfließen oder hineinstrahlen kann. Das hndteilstück 10 des Kalibrierdorns 4 besitzt im Ausführungsbeispiel und nach bevorzugter Ausführupgsform eine Länge L, die etwa dem größten Durchmesser D des zu kalibrierenden Hohlprofils 1 entspricht. Zumindest dieses Endteilstürk 10, zweckmäßigerweise jedoch der ganze Innenkalibrierdorn 4 ist konisch verjüngt. Im Ausführungsbeispiel ist die Druckkammer 11 zugleich als Kühlkammer ausgebildet. Sie wird dazu von oinem gekühlten Druckmittel durchströmt, wobei über Druckregeleinrichtung 13 der Druck in der Druckkammer 11 steuerbar oder regelbar ist. Zur Abschirmung gegen die Strangpreßwerkzeuge 3 sind Strahlenschirmwände 12 vorgesehen. Man erkennt im übrigen in der F i g. 1 den Istwertfühler 15 für die Massevorlage in der Druckkammer 11, und zwar in dem Bereich, in dem das Hohlprofil 1 aus der Druckkammer 11 austritt. Dieser Istwertfühler oder Einlaufdruckgeber 14 gehört einer Regeleinrichtung an, welche die Massevorlage zwischen Außenkalibrierung und Innenkalibrierung konstant hält.
