Die erfindungsgemäße Temperaturregelung der Schweißbänder beruht darauf, daß zu der konstant zu haltenden Schweißtemperatur des Schweißbandes ein bestimmter, dieser Temperatur entsprechender Widerstand des Schweißbandes gehört, sodaß sich der Schweißstrom, der belastungsabhängig ist, also mit der Maschinengeschwindigkeit und der Wärmeabgabe von dem Schweißband ändert. Der Widerstand des Schweißbandes muß während des Schweißbetriebes auf gleicher Höhe gehalten werden, um gleiche Schweißergebnisse zu erzielen.
