Die überzogenen Gegenstände sollen durch den Überzug gegen Korrosion geschützt werden, ohne' daß durch das zum Überziehen angewendete Verfahren der zuThe invention relates to a method, iron or steel objects with a copper coating to provide that on the backing completely tight, even and secure, too against strong mechanical loads, adheres. The coated objects are to be protected against corrosion by the coating without 'being affected by the Overdraw the applied method of too
The well-known coating of an iron plate with a copper skin by immersion in copper salt solution or electrolytic deposition of the copper is not sufficient to produce a secure retention of a dense, uniform coating. A complete coating is not achieved even by subsequent heating of the object coated in this way. since the heating takes place under conditions which allow the copper to be oxidized. According to the present invention, the copper skin is also known per se First, cast down on the object in a cold way; but then will the objects in a bath of a molten non-oxidizable aggregate, as it is known per se, immersed and therein up to the melting temperature of the Copper heated. This additive can be composed of several additions It can be made from borax, boric acid and carbonate of soda or a mixture of these Substances exist. The aggregate substance of this bath possesses at the elevated temperature such a stickiness that it adheres to the heated surface of the immersed, copper-plated object. stuck. The heat is melted by conveying the Surcharge, within which it is located, transferred to the copper coating, whereby it is achieved that at the same time all parts of the surface evenly against Oxidation protected and evenly heated. As a result, the copper plating becomes completely safe, tight and evenly welded onto the base. When taking out of the coated object from the bath, a skin of the aggregate remains on the surface of the copper and protects it this before oxidation, until it has cooled and also still. later when she's not through Scraping or other surgery is forcibly removed.
You can also use two copper plating methods Easily join the panels inseparably with one another in a simple and simple manner by simply connecting the panels with the coated surfaces, to which the skins from the cold aggregate still adhere, placed one on top of the other, possibly with the addition of further fresh supplement, and then with heating up to the Melting point of the coating metal subjects the plates to a pressure by which the interposed Aggregate squeezed out
wird, ζ. B., indem man die Platten zwischen Druckwalzen hindurchgehen läßt.will, ζ. B. by letting the plates pass between pressure rollers.
Instead of copper, the process can also use copper alloys on iron or steel objects be applied.
