KAISERLICHES PATENTAMT. The device is used to supplement the pressure losses of several interconnected and cooperating vessels with the aid of an air pump or a device generating air dilution and thus to accelerate the mechanical work. If, for example, connection a is connected with the vessels of a diffusion battery and connection b with an air pump, the air pump will generate a vacuum in the diffuser when the diffuser is completely closed, which sucks in the incoming liquid and will fill the vessels more quickly. As long as only air passes through the apparatus, it will remain functional. If liquid enters the apparatus through the nozzle α, the float c is raised and the piston d connected to it closes the openings e and f and the air pump is set on the apparatus itself. * As soon as the openings e and / are closed, the counterweight k opens the air valve g, air enters the apparatus and exerts a pressure on the piston d, since the space A behind the piston d is diluted with air, and lifts the Float c and valve cone h, so that the fluid that has been torn over can escape from the apparatus. At the same time, the opening of the nozzle α has closed by the piston d and shut off the apparatus from the diffuser. The now completely filled diffuser is now closed off from the apparatus by a special device (tap or valve). When the piston d has reached the end of its stroke, it opens the air valve / and the incoming air brings about a pressure equalization in front of and behind the piston d, so that the valves close by sinking of the piston d, float c and valve cone h / he follows. The air pump now acts on the apparatus as it did before. A vacuum meter is attached to identify the correct function of the device.
