Abstract

Method of measuring out liquid plastic material using piston operated pumps, using drive cylinders hydraulically coupled to each other in order to ensure that a synchronised and equalised stroke is obtained. Different measuring out proportions maybe obtained by a variation of the dia. of the drive cylinders and of the piston rod. A further variation of the measuring out ratio can be obtained by the use of superimposed by-pass cylinders of corresponding volume which have also got a hydraulic connection to the drive cylinder.
