Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf Einrichtungen an Steuerrudern von Einschraubenschiffen, bei denen das Ruder hinter der Schraube liegt, um die Wirkung des Schraubenwassers auf die Sohle des Wasserlaufs zu beschränken. Es ist bereits bekannt, zu diesem Zweck an der Unterkante des Ruderblattes . eine rechtwinklig zur Ruderfläche stehende Platte anzubringen. Um die Wirkungsweise dieser Einrichtung zu erhöhen, wird nach der Erfindung die Platte von der Rudervorkante nach hinten zu etwas aufgeholt, d. h. mehr oder weniger gekrümmt. Dabei kann diese Platte an einer Seite oder an beiden Seiten des Ruderblattes sitzen, wie in den Fig. 1 bis 6 gezeigt. Die Platte kann entweder an dem Ruder fest angebracht (Fig. ι bis 3) oder an ihrer Vorderkante um wagerechte Zapfen drehbar gelagert sein, so daß sie nach Bedarf an ihrem hinteren Ende gehoben oder gesenkt werden kann (Fig. 4 bis 6).
