Die Benutzung von Gußeisen zur Herstellung der Mahlorgane von Holländern, Papierstoffmühlen und ähnlichen Mahlgängen ist bekannt. Es hat sich nun herausgestellt, daß solche Mahlwerkzeuge eine poröse und gegebenenfalls kristallinische Struktur besitzen müssen, so daß sie einerseits sehr haltbar sind und andererseits die Fasern soviel wie möglich schonen. Das neue Verfahren zur Herstellung eines solchen Materials besteht darin, daß bei dem Guß dieser Werkzeuge schmelzbare Gegenstände, wie Drahtnetze, Drehspäne o. dgl., in der Gießform angebracht werden, so daß beim Eingießen der Metallmasse in die Gießform in der geschmolzenen Masse eine Bewegung entsteht.
