Zusatz zum Patent 186398.*)Addition to patent 186398. *)
Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 20. Oktober 1911 ab. ... Längste Dauer: 12. Oktober 1921.Patented in the German Empire on October 20, 1911. ... Longest duration: October 12, 1921.
Die Eigenschaften von heißflüssigem, bei etwa 300 ° hergestelltem technischen Ka-For the representation of the neutral potassium sulfate from potassium chloride and sulfuric acid The production of a good potassium bisulfate is a basic requirement. This salt can be , 5 according to the pan process usual for sodium sulfate not manufacture, Veil the sulfuric acid potassium chloride decomposes much more difficultly than sodium chlorine, and because it is increased At high temperature volatilization of sulfuric acid or potassium chloride occurs easily. It has therefore not yet been possible to successfully produce potassium bisulfate in large-scale operations will. In the patent document 186389, class 121, is the representation of hydrochloric acid gas below simultaneous extraction of hot liquid sodium bisulfate by means of a retort in a continuous process Establishments have been described. That is in the same way potassium bisulfate could not be foreseen without further ado, because the pure potassium bisulfate as is well known, when heated to about 200 ° with elimination of water in potassium pyrosulphate transforms. The properties of hot liquid technical ca-
a5 liumbisulfat waren aber weder bekannt, noch war diese Substanz dargestellt worden, so daß sich über den Schmelzpunkt und über das für die Durchführung des Retortenprozesses wichtige physikalische Verhalten des Salzes von vornherein nichts sagen ließ. Es hat sich aber gezeigt, daß die' Umsetzung des Chlorkaliums in der- Retorte mit Vollständigkeit vor sich geht, und daß es möglich ist, mittels dieses Verfahrens technisch die Gewinnung von Kaliumbisulfat ohne die Nachteile des Pfannenprozesses durchzuführen. ,; A 5 lium bisulfate were neither known nor had this substance been presented, so that nothing could be said from the outset about the melting point and about the physical behavior of the salt, which is important for carrying out the retort process. It has been shown, however, that the 'conversion of the potassium chlorine in the retort is complete, and that it is possible to obtain potassium bisulfate technically by means of this process without the disadvantages of the pan process. ,;
Läßt man z. If you let z. B. on the surface of a layer of deep, molten potassium bisulfate, potassium chloride and sulfuric acid of about 93 percent H 2 SO t flow, the decomposition of the potassium chlorine takes place briskly, and the outflow of the hot liquid potassium bisulfate occurs similar to that of sodium bisulfate at a temperature of about 300 °. The potassium bisulfate obtained in this way is a brittle salt which solidifies easily and, in contrast to sodium bisulfate, is hardly hygroscopic and is easier to grind like this. Its content of free sulfuric acid can easily be kept between 24 to 26 percent SO 3 (calculated: 29 percent SO 3 for KHSOi).
Diese nicht vorhergesehenen Eigenschaften des heißflüssig gewonnenen Kaliumbisulfates machen es für die Umsetzung mit ChlorkaliumThese unforeseen properties of the hot liquid obtained potassium bisulphate make it for implementation with potassium chloride
