Beim Aufstoßen der Klappe gegen den Retortenboden rutschen die Bügel b und b₁ in den hinteren Winkel-. schenkel der Kurve; dadurch muß sich das Klappenblech α schräg nach unten einstellen und durch weiteres Nachschieben der Stange d bis zu einer senkrechten Lage kommen. In dieser senkrechten Lage springt der obere Bügel J₁ beim Zurückziehen der Stange in eine Aussparung am oberen. Ende des hinteren Kurvenschenkels; dadurch wird die Klappe in der senkrechten Stellung festgehalten und entleert beim Zurückziehen die Retorte.
