Description

KAISERLICHESIMPERIAL

PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.

The invention extends to such closures for rifles that by modification the inclination of the locking piece to be locked and unlocked, and has essentially the purpose of causing such a tendency of the locking piece for unlocking. This is achieved by placing the cartridge case on the front one when firing Can act surface of the closure piece, which is suitably profiled for this purpose.

Die Zeichnung veranschaulicht eine Ausführungsform der Erfindung. Fig. ι zeigt schematisch die geschlossene Waffe, Fig. 2 die Waffe unmittelbar nach dem Schuß und Fig. 3The drawing illustrates an embodiment of the invention. Fig. Ι shows schematically the closed weapon, FIG. 2 the weapon immediately after the shot and FIG. 3

X5 eine besondere Ausführungsform des Verschlußstückes. X 5 a special embodiment of the closure piece.

The firing pin 1 is invariably guided by its long ribs 2 along the XY axis. The closure piece 3 is provided at the front with a nose 4, about the axis 11 of which it rotates, while the lugs 5, 6 are provided at the rear end thereof. The lower nose 5 lies like the nose 4 in the axis MN of the closure piece. The lugs 4, 5 move when the weapon is opened in the groove 7, while the lug 6 slides in the groove 8. When the weapon is closed, the front surface 9 of the breech block is slightly inclined with respect to the axis OP of the barrel, i.e. with respect to the rear surface of the case 10, so that the rear part of this case rests against this surface 9 at a point 12, which lies below the center of rotation 11 of the closure piece. After the shot, the case acts with a lever arm 11-12 on the breech block, so that it is rotated in the opposite direction to the pointers of a clock and guided into the position according to FIG. 8 are located. The closure piece is then free. As a result of the small size of the lever arm 11-12, this movement of the breech block requires a great deal of force, and the unlocking is only effected after a relatively long time, so that an effective locking of the barrel is achieved during the first firing period. The effects can also be controlled by changing the profile of the front surface of the locking piece (Fig. 3). By giving this surface a suitable profile, the size of the lever arm 11-12 can be changed as desired.

Claims (1)

Bolt for rifles made by changing the inclination of the breech piece is unlocked or locked, characterized in that these changes by the Recoil of the cartridge case are caused, which hit the front surface of the breech block works.
