Der Wäschetrockner besitzt ein durch eine Beschikkungstür 3 verschließbares Gehäuse 1, in dem eine die Wäsche aufnehmende Trommel 2 drehbar gelagert ist. Die in der eingezeichneten Pfeilrichtung umgewälzte Trockenluft wird der Trommel über einen Kanal 4 zugeführt und aus der Trommel durch einen Abluftkanal 5 abgeleitet. Im Abluftkanal 5 ist ein Meßwertaufnehmer 7, z. B. ein die Temperatur oder Feuchte der Abluft steuernder Meßfühler, angeordnet. Dichtungen 6 dienen zum Abdichten der Luftführungskanäle. Zum Zurückhalten der von der Abluft mitgeführten Flusen besitzt der Wäschetrockner eine aus einem Flusensieb beste hende, nicht dargestellte Flusenfangvorrichtung. An der dem Abluftkanal 5 zugewandten Trommelstirnseite sind ein oder mehrere Abstreifer 8 so befestigt, daß sie bei drehender Trommel 2 Flusenablagerungen vom Meßwertaufnahmer 7 abstreifen und mit Flusen aus dem Abluftkanal in das Flusensieb fördern. Ein Abstreifer kann als steifes, in seinen Abmessungen an Meßwertaufnehmer und Abluftkanal angepaßtes Teil oder als Bürste, Filzstreifen, Schaumstoffstreifen, Gewebestreifen ausgebildet sein. Die Abstreifer können auch aus federnden bzw. elastischen Kunststoff- oder Metallteilen bestehen, die die zu reinigende Oberfläche des Meßwertaufnehmers und des Abluftkanals bestreichen.
