Glaszylinder für Sturmlaternen. Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 20. September 1912 ab. Glass cylinder for storm lanterns. Patented in the German Empire on September 20, 1912.
Fig. 3). . . 'The glass cylinders for storm lanterns, which are used to close the flame, sit on the lower sieve either with its one attached to the actual glass cylinder Edge (Fig. I) on or with the bulbous enlargement attached to the edge (Fig. 2). However, there is always a cylindrical one at the lower end of the glass cylinder Edge provided, which takes over the guidance of the glass cylinder on the lower sieve, which is provided with an attached raised edge for this purpose. In such Hurricane lanterns that have twin screens will remove the upper screen from the one that is bent upwards Edge of the lower sieve held. Hurricane lanterns with such double screens have that essential advantage that they finely distribute the air coming to the flame, so that the lanterns Burn perfectly calm even in the greatest storm, even if the wind direction flows from any side to the sieve; because the air currents are divided and deflected by the double sieve. at Hurricane lanterns with such double screens, the inner screen 1 is advantageously hinge-like hinged to the wire 2 (see hinge 3), which is used to pull up the upper screen for the purpose the lighting of the flame is provided in such lanterns (see Fig. 3). Do you want now such a glass cylinder, which is pressed with the upper spring clip 4 on its seat is removed for cleaning, etc., the outer raised edge offers 5 of the lower sieve to the glass cylinder resistance by the cylinder itself with its Bulge lays against the upper edge of the outer sieve, also jams there, and the consequence is that such cylinders are very difficult to remove from the sieve, can break out slightly at the lower edge, if necessary at the bulge and be destroyed. . . '
Es ist somit möglich, infolge der Auskehlungen 6 die GlaszylinderIn order to avoid this Ubelstand, the present invention is the glass cylinder above the lower edge and between the lower edge and the bulge with a Groove 6 provided, which not only upwards, but also to the inside of the Glass cylinder springs back, so presents a deeply grooved groove. Fortune this Groove 6, the cylinder can easily be removed from the edges of the twin screens; because if you push back the spring clip 4 and move the glass cylinder at the upper end out of the spring clip, so the same can pivot with its lower end with the inner sieve. At this Pivoting lays the outer upper edge of the lower screen 7 in the groove 6 of the Glass cylinder, and the glass cylinder can so around the upper edge of the lower screen be rotated without this edge being in any way a hindrance. It is thus possible as a result of the grooves 6 the glass cylinder
