Der vorliegende Registrirapparat soll an Dampfund anderen Kraftmaschinen automatisch sowohl
die geleistete Arbeit als auch die jeweils vorhandene Kraft messen und aufzeichnen.The present registration apparatus is intended to be automatic on both steam and other prime movers

Die Aufzeichnung findet, wie bei allen derartigen Apparaten, auf einem Papierstreifen statt.
Derselbe wird in irgend einer für geeignet erachteten Stellung möglichst nahe an der Maschine
angebracht und durch zwei Walzen c1 c2

E1 erfolgt, so hat man für jeden Kolbenhub die Aufzeichnung, wann das Ventil geschlossen

der jeweiligen Dampfspannung bei jedem Hub des Arbeitskolbens, derart wirkend, dafs einerseits
die auf der Kurbelwelle sitzende Herzscheibe G den Elektromagnet E1 und andererseits
das mit dem Kessel in Verbindung stehende Manometer den Elektromagnet E"1 verschiebt,
während die Anker beider Elektromagnete in kurzen Intervallen angezogen werden und dadurch
zwei sich gegenüberstehende Curven auf dem sich fortbewegenden Papierstreifen A markiren.
