Dieses Erfordernis bildete einen großen Nachteil im Gebrauch der Pessare. Das Kolbengehäuse c dient beim Einführen der Kappe in die Scheide als Halter für das Pessar, indem die Gummischeibe mittels des Kolbens d auf den Deckel des Kolbengehäuses festsitzend angesaugt wird (Fig. 4). Hiernach läßt sich die Pessarkappe leicht von jedermann in richtiger Lage in die Scheide einbringen. Ist dieses geschehen, so wird der Saugkolben d in das Kolbengehäuse etwas hineingedrückt, wodurch dieses die Kappe freigibt.
