Description
It is known to use dry mixes of plaster of paris and other auxiliaries, such as water-soluble cellulose ethers and to produce fillers that can be stirred into water and used as spatulas and Filling compounds for cracks in masonry and the like are suitable. Such dry mixes tend to dust and often bake together, so that it is difficult to dose them when mixing.
Es ist bereits bekannt, zur Granulierung auf 80It is known to convert dust-like materials into an easily applicable, non-dusting form by granulating them. These measures are often used, for example, in pharmaceuticals, fertilizers and the like. The procedure used here is compacting between rollers. This initially results in sheet-like scabs, which are then crushed into granules. It was therefore an obvious step to apply these measures to plaster of paris mixtures in powder form. It has been found, however, that although dusting is prevented and a slight dosage is also possible, on the other hand agglomerations still occur when the gypsum mix is stirred, which is done by adding it to water. In addition, if coarser grains are present, it is practically impossible to add more granules after the first entry in order to thicken the mass. These subsequently added granules then no longer disintegrate completely. Under certain circumstances, the evenness and strength of the hardened plaster of paris mixture suffer seriously.
It is already known to granulate to 80
Part of the hemihydrate is converted into the dihydrate. This process must be precisely controlled with intensive mixing and therefore requires a high level of technical

Although the setting time is only negligibly reduced immediately after the production of the plaster of paris granulate, since the amount of dihydrate present serves as an accelerator for further hardening, the granulate is resistant to moisture.
Furthermore, it was known by Precipitation obtained particularly fine-grained plaster of paris mechanically to the extent that it has about the properties of naturally degraded material

The object of the present invention was to produce such dust-free, easily metered plaster mixtures, which on the one hand can be easily mixed without agglomeration and which allow further additions from plaster of paris mixture to water-based paste to produce the desired consistency.
Bevorzugte Gipsmassen bestehen in Gewichtsprozent, bezogen auf die Summe aus Gips und Füllstoffen, ausThe inventive method for the production of easy-to-mix, solid plaster of paris by Granules, which are to be used as hardening leveling and filling compounds, are characterized by that one consists essentially of plaster of paris which is hardenable with water converted into granules with a grain size of 0.1 to 0.7 mm by roller compacting. Preferably the gypsum mass is to be converted into granules with a grain diameter of 0.2 to 0.5 mm. For the production of the granules one starts from commercially available plaster of paris, which largely corresponds to the formula CaSCM · V2 H2O. It is also possible to have one Part of this gypsum can be replaced by anhydrite up to about 50%. Preferred gypsum masses consist in Percentage by weight, based on the sum of plaster of paris and fillers
80,00 bis 98,00 Gips,80.00 to 98.00 plaster,
0,50 bis 3,00 wasserlöslichen Celluloseethern, 2,00 bis 18,00 Füllstoffen,
0,01 bis 0,50 Abbindeverzögerern0.50 to 3.00 water-soluble cellulose ethers, 2.00 to 18.00 fillers,
0.01 to 0.50 setting retarders
sowie gegebenenfalls weiteren Hilfsstoffen.and, if necessary, other auxiliary materials.
The water-soluble cellulose ethers are known per se for the production of plaster of paris. There come here in consideration methyl cellulose and / or methyl hydroxypropyl cellulose a viscosity of 200 to 5000 cP in 2% aqueous solution. According to an expedient embodiment, one uses in addition the aforementioned cellulose ethers up to 30% carboxymethyl cellulose.
According to a further preferred embodiment, fillers are used for the dry mix Asbestos fibers, with an average fiber length of 0.05 to 0.2 mm. the Asbestos fibers are used in an amount of about 1 to 8%, based on the dry mixture.
Finally, one uses for the production of the invention Gypsum masses commercially available setting retarders such as tartaric acid, citric acid, condensed Phosphates or protein compounds of animal or vegetable origin. The above mentioned carboxymethyl cellulose also shows a retarding effect.
Of course, it is also possible to use the dry mixes for the production of gypsum-containing mixes Adding known auxiliaries to fillers and fillers, such as asbestos-like loosening agents, ζ. B. wood pulp, or diatomaceous earth, Silicic acid, magnesium carbonate or accelerating or retarding agents.
To produce the gypsum mixes according to the invention, the components are dry together mixed and granulated by means of a roller compacting system. The scabs are prepared in such a way that all parts below 0.1 mm and above 0.7 mm can be cut off. These can then. can be used again for granulation. As Already mentioned earlier, particularly favorable gypsum masses are obtained if the grain diameter is between 0.2 and 0.5 mm.
The application of the granulated plaster of paris is very easy. To make an approach about 100 parts by weight are poured into 50 to 70 parts by weight of water and stirred. Is the Mixture too pasty, can be diluted with water, while on the other hand it is possible to low viscosity add more granules !. Immediately after stirring the Mass smooth and workable. Depending on the composition, it hardens between about 20 minutes and 2 to 3 h.
95 kg Gips wurden in einem Trockenmischer mit folgenden Bestandteilen gemischt:95 kg of gypsum were mixed in a dry mixer with the following ingredients:
2,5 kg Asbestfasern, Faserlänge weniger als 0,2 cm,

20 g of tartaric acid.
The mixture was then granulated on a commercially available dry granulating machine (Roller compacting to form scabs with subsequent comminution) and all components above 0.5 mm and below 0.2 mm grain size separated.
Die Verarbeitungszeit betrug 1 h.»5,100 parts by weight of the mixture were in 60 parts by weight Added water, and immediately after stirring a homogeneous mixture was observed.
