Fernrohr. Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 5. September 1911 ab.Telescope. Patented in the German Empire on September 5, 1911.
Binoculars are already known in which the lenses on a rod-shaped Carriers are hinged and slidably mounted, making the use of one or other lens as reading glass or collectively as single and double binoculars is made possible. Compared to these known binoculars, the invention is characterized from the fact that a telescopic telescope is used on which a or several lenses are mounted so that they can swing out in parallel planes. The rotation of the Lenses happens around axes that are parallel to the telescope axis and to the side of the telescope body are stored. This arrangement has the advantage that the binoculars as a simple, closed telescope, as an open double telescope and as a telescope with various Visual range can be used depending on the lenses being adjusted accordingly. The telescopic tube serves for each type of use to adjust the lenses according to the eye.
A telescope designed according to the invention is shown, for example, in FIGS Drawing illustrated in view and plan view in various positions of use.
The telescope consists of the telescoping tubes a, of which the two end tubes each receive a ring b and c. These rings each carry an outwardly reaching arm d or f, which are used to support the lenses f and k attached to the arms g and h , respectively. An arm I can also be mounted on the arm f , which arm carries a mirror m which, however, is not the subject of the invention.
Die Verwendungsweise des beschriebenen Fernrohres ist folgende:All lens carriers are rotatably mounted around their bearing axis in parallel planes, so that each lens can be swung out and adjusted as desired. How the telescope described is used is the following:
If, for example, as illustrated in the drawing, two swing-out lenses (objective and eyepiece) are arranged, a simple closed telescope can be produced by keeping one lens in the tube while the other lenses are swung outwards and, if necessary, to hold them of the telescope. Furthermore, as illustrated in FIGS. 3 and 4, an open binocular telescope can be formed if all the lenses are swung outwards and adjusted to one another, the empty tube in this position of use serving to hold the binoculars and to adjust the lenses accordingly to the eye. When several lenses of different strengths or convex and concave lenses are arranged, a telescope with different magnifications can be created by alternately using one or the other lens and by using several lenses at the same time. Each lens can also be used in a known manner in the curved position as a magnifying or reducing glass for known purposes. The mirror m articulated on the arm f by means of the arm I is used for
In the swung-out position, the mirror can be used in a known manner by itself 5 or, as illustrated in FIG. 5, by placing a lens on it, depending on the nature of the same, as an enlarging or reducing mirror.
