Der Notenblattwender besteht dem Wesen nach aus einer Anzahl über einander liegender, rechtwinklig gebogener Stahldrähte, welche an ihrem einen Ende in einem Rahmen befestigt sind und an ihrem anderen Ende Klammern tragen, in welche die einzelnen Notenblätter festgeklemmt werden. Diese Stahldrähte sind derart befestigt, dafs sie, wenn das Notenheft aufgeschlagen ist, ihrer Federkraft entgegen, mit den Blättern auf die rechte Seite gedreht sind und also beständig das Bestreben haben, sich mit dem Blatt nach der linken Seite zu drehen. An diesem Bestreben werden sie aber durch eine Sperrvorrichtung, in welche sie eingeschaltet sind, gehindert, und das Umschlagen eines Blattes kann nur geschehen, wenn die Sperrvorrichtung ausgelöst wird. Dieselbe kann auch anstatt an dem Hebel K festzusitzen, sich gegen den an diesem angebrachten Stift n, Fig. 6 und 7, anlegen, was dieselbe Wirkung hat.
