Bei der vorliegenden Erfindung werden gemischte, stärkehaltige Substanzen zur Zerkleinerung der Stärkezellen unter grofsem Druck durch kleine Oeffnungen gedrückt, so dafs sie mit grofser Geschwindigkeit durch dieselben hindurchtreten. Auf diese Weise wird abwechselnd der Druck in Geschwindigkeit und die Geschwindigkeit in Druck umgewandelt, was auf die Zellen die beabsichtigte Wirkung hat, indem sowohl die kleinsten wie auch die gröberen Partikelchen, gleichviel, ob sie noch in ihrer Hülse eingebettet sind oder nicht, gegen einander schlagen, sich gegenseitig brechen und die in den Zellen enthaltene Stärke freimachen.In the present invention, mixed starchy substances are used for crushing of the starch cells pressed under great pressure through small openings, so that they with pass through them at great speed. Die Anzahl der Injectoren oder Ejectoren richtet sich nach der Art des zu behandelnden Getreides. Es ist nicht absolut nothwendig, Pumpen anzuwenden, wenn nicht die Temperatur der Maische zu hoch ist, damit der Injector von selbst zu arbeiten anfange. Injectoren· kommen nicht immer bei hohen Temperaturen von selbst in Gang, und deshalb wendet man eine durch Kraft getriebene Pumpe an, um den Injector in Gang zu setzen. Das gewünschte Resultat würde dann ohne Anwendung von Dampf in den Injectoren erreicht werden, vorausgesetzt, dafs die Röhren der Ejectoren entsprechend construirt sind, so dafs sie entweder beim Eintritt konisch oder sonst zweckentsprechend gestaltet sind, oder so, dafs die in dem Ejector hervorgebrachte Geschwindigkeit gleich oder beinahe gleich jener würde, welche dem Druck der Maische an der Ausflufsöffhung des Ejectors entspricht. Die Maische würde beim Austritt aus dem Ejector eine solche Geschwindigkeit erlangt haben, dafs sie durch die Eintrittsöffnung des nächsten Injectors in Wirklichkeit mit derselben Kraft eintritt, mit welcher sie den Ejector verlassen hat, obgleich sie in der Zwischenzeit durch die freie Luft ging, und treibt sich selbst durch den Ejector mit einem Druck, welcher dem des Rohres oder Kessels gleich ist, welcher deri Ejector mit Druck versieht minus dem Verlust durch Reibung.
