Vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Falten von Geweben und ähnlichen Waren. Dieselbe ist durch ein unter der Spitze des dreieckigen Falttisches angeordnetes Preßwalzenpaar gekennzeichnet, das nur einen schmalen Teil an dem Faltensaum der in der Länge zusammengelegten Gewebebahn erfaßt und durch Pressung einen scharfen Kniff des gefalteten Gewebes bewirkt.

Das Gewebe läuft über den bekannten schrägstehenden, dreieckig auslaufenden Falttisch t und wird nach unten abgezogen, wobei die Gewebebahn durch die Spitze des Tisches in der Mitte gefaltet und so gleichmäßig in der Längsrichtung zusammengelegt wird. Das gefaltete Gewebe läuft zunächst in voller Breite durch ein Führungswalzenpaar W, W und gelangt dann zu einem zweiten Walzenpaar gleicher Art f, f. Zuvor aber muß der Faltensaum der Gewebebahn in geringer Breite durch ein Walzenpaar y, y gehen. Von diesem Walzenpaar ist die eine Walze fest, die andere beweglich gelagert (Fig. 5). Die letztere wird in geeigneter Weise gegen die erstere gepreßt, die Walzenpressung ist so bemessen, daß der Kniff B des durchlaufenden Faltensaumes festgepreßt wird und sich nicht mehr verschieben kann. Die beiden Preßwalzen y sind leicht drehbar gelagert, so daß der Lauf der Gewebebahn durch sie nicht gehemmt wird.The fabric runs over the known inclined, triangular tapered folding table t and is pulled off downwards, the fabric web being folded through the tip of the table in the middle and thus folded evenly in the longitudinal direction.
