Abstract

Closure plate for holding rotatable frame of filter, e.g. liquid filter in I.C. engine, consists of a metal sheet with a fold formed on its surface remote from the interior of the filter for receiving the frame. Pref. the fold is formed over the total periphery of the plate, and includes two diametrically opposed blind holdes pressed into its surface for holding the frame. The plate has a downwardly turned outer edge with an inwardly turned end for inserting the filter, the end and an annular wall acting as a stop for the filter. The annular wall surrounds a main cylindrical wall portion of the plate in which is formed the fold with blind holes which abut against a flat outer wall portion of the plate.
