Die bekannten Klapptische oder Klappsitze, deren Platte außer Gebrauch heruntergeklappt werden kann, zeigen den Übelstand, daß beim Aufklappen der Platte deren Stützen von der Hand eingestellt werden müssen, und daß die Stützen durch Anstoßen leicht ausgelöst werden, wodurch ein unbeabsichtigtes Herunterklappen' der Platte verursacht wird. Beim Erfindungsgegenstand ist dieser Übelstand durch eine nach Auslösen einer Sperrvorrichtung selbsttätig wirkende Aufklapp- und Feststellvorrichtung beseitigt.

Die aufklappbare Platte α des Tisches oder Sitzes ist durch Drehzapfen b in den seitlichen Rahmenteilen eines Gestelles c drehbar gelagert. Die seitlichen Stützen d der Platte a sind durch Bolzen e gleichfalls drehbar an den seitlichen Rahmenteilen des Gestelles c angebracht. Die freien Enden der Stützen d sind durch eine Leiste f verbunden, deren Enden mit Rollen oder Zapfen g. in Schlitzen k von an der unteren Seite der Platte befestigten Schienen i geführt werden. Die Leiste f besitzt in ihrer Mitte eine Aussparung k, durch weiche ein an der ,Unterseite der Platte a durch einen Bolzen m drehbar befestigter, zweiarmiger Hebel η geführt ist. Letzterer besitzt^tfeine Nase 0, welche sich bei aufgeklappter Platte ά von außen gegen die Leiste f legt und deren Verschieben nach außen bei Belastung der Platte α verhindert. Soll die Platte α heruntergeklappt werden, so wird der Hebel η durch einen sie durchdringenden Kopfbolzen q seitwärts geschwenkt, bis die Nase 0 in die Verlängerung der Aussparung k der Leiste f rückt und letztere beim Herunterklappen der Platte α nach außen verschoben werden kann. Das äußere Ende des Hebels η trägt einen Kopfbolzen r, dessen Halbrundkopf bei vollends niedergeklappter Platte hinter ein Anzugblech s am unteren Teil des Gestelles c einfedert und die Platte α in niedergeklappter Stellung entgegen der Zugwirkung eines Gewichtes t festhält. Das Gewicht t ist an zwei an der Drehkante der Platte α befestigten Kniehebeln u hinter einer Abschlußwand ν angehängt und durch Nuten an den Seitenteilen des Gestelles c senkrecht geführt. An Stelle des Gewichtes können auch Zugfedern treten. Das Aufklappen der Platte geschieht durch die Wirkung dieses Gewichtes selbsttätig, sobald der Bolzenkopf r aus seinem Sperrblech s herausgeschwenkt wird. Dieses geschieht durch Vorschieben des am oberen Ende des Hebels η angebrachten Knopfes q. An Stelle des Schiebeknopfes q kann auch ein Druckknopf w angewendet werden (Fig. 4), der eine Nase y besitzt und durch diese den Sperrhebel η seitwärts drückt.presses and held his nose 0 in the engaged position.
