In dem Kopf der Elastik-Nähmaschine ist in einem Schlitz der Seitenwand der Hebel d mittelst eines Stiftes drehbar befestigt. Der obere Schenkel dieses Hebels d ist winkelförmig und an seinem breiten Theil mit einer Ausbohrung zum Durchlassen der Nadelstange versehen und reicht durch eine Ausfräsung der oberen Kopfplatte bis unter die Scheibe des Hebels b, welch letzterer beim Gang der Maschine auf- und niederbewegt wird. Die Stoffrückerstange e wird mittelst einer Zugstange gegen das Ende des unteren Schenkels des Hebels d gedrückt, wodurch der obere Kopf dieses Hebels d stets an die Scheibe des Hebels b anliegt; deshalb wird bei der Abwärtsbewegung des Hebels b die Stoffrückerstange seitwärts .gedrückt und der Stoff um die durch die Mutter f regulirbare Stichlänge verschoben.
